Responsibilities
As a Carpenter, your duties will include:
- Carrying out maintenance and repair works as required
- Performing day-to-day carpentry tasks within the building
- Constructing and repairing shelves, cabinets, doors, windows, and other fixtures
- Installing door locks, security items, and partitions
- Operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely
- Removing damaged or defective parts and replacing them
- Finishing surfaces of woodwork or wallboard using paint, paneling, and hand tools
- Filling cracks and defects in plaster or plasterboard and sanding as needed
- Following all technical regulations and safety standards
Requirements
- High school qualification with proven carpentry experience
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, building maintenance, and workplace safety
- Understanding of safe lifting and handling procedures
- Ability to identify faults and rectify systems effectively
- Good command of English for clear communication
- Physically fit and able to perform hands-on maintenance tasks
