Home Care Worker  Job In New Zealand

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to provide high-quality support to clients in their own homes across the Strathfield and Inner West areas. This Permanent Part-Time role allows you to help clients maintain independence, dignity, and a high quality of life through personal care, companionship, and practical support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide domestic assistance, including washing, ironing, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation, and cooking
  • Support personal care tasks such as showering, dressing, grooming, and hygiene
  • Offer social engagement and companionship, encouraging participation in community activities
  • Provide transport services for appointments, shopping, and social outings
  • Ensure clients feel safe, respected, and valued at all times

Requirements

  • Valid NSW Driver’s Licence and reliable C Class Motor Vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations recommended
  • Basic computer and smartphone literacy
  • Empathy, patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in Home Care or Disability Support
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community)
