Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate work programmes to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality delivery
  • Manage field employees, subcontractors, plant, and equipment effectively
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and industry requirements
  • Provide active on-site leadership and support to work teams
  • Monitor performance against maintenance plans and job bid targets
  • Contribute to achieving planned profit or improved project outcomes

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in renewable Generation or Transmission substation construction and maintenance, or a related field
  • National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Electrician) Level 4
  • Proven experience leading teams, with supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of current regulatory and industry standards
  • Physical capability to perform demanding manual work in challenging conditions

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all organisational levels
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities
  • Effective planning, coordination, and organisational skills
  • Solid technical knowledge of power industry test equipment
  • Flexibility, resilience, and willingness to travel for short-term and long-term projects across New Zealand
