Responsibilities
- Maintain and ensure free-flowing wastewater and stormwater networks
- Minimize sewage overflows and pipeline infiltration
- Install new drainage connections and perform network repairs
- Clear blockages and respond to drainage issues
- Inspect and carry out routine maintenance on drainage systems
- Construct and adjust manholes and pipelines
- Operate small plant and machinery as required
- Record work and maintenance data using digital tools
- Follow all health and safety standards and procedures
Requirements
- Experience in drainage or similar maintenance work (preferred)
- Ability to operate small plant and machinery
- Full, clean driver’s license (Class 2, W, T, R advantageous)
- Basic knowledge of using digital devices (tablet/iPad)
- Understanding of health and safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts and standby/on-call duties
- Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand
