Responsibilities
- Bring clean dishes, flatware, and items to serving areas and set tables
- Clear, clean, and sanitize tables, trays, chairs, and serving areas
- Load buspans and trays and operate dishwashers to clean dishes and utensils
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans
- Replenish condiments and supplies at tables and service areas
- Package take-out food and portion, wrap, and prepare simple food items
- Prepare, heat, and finish basic food products
- Take customer orders and provide courteous service
- Stock refrigerators, salad bars, and food storage areas
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, cupboards, and storage areas
- Handle and store cleaning products safely
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in appropriate storage locations
- Remove garbage and kitchen waste regularly
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits
- Keep basic records of food quantities used
Requirements
- Other trades certificate or diploma
- 1 to less than 7 months of related work experience
- Ability to work on-site; remote work is not available
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to follow workplace safety and sanitation standards
