Responsibilities

As a Parking Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Investigating and enforcing parking offences in Council-managed free parking areas and on-street parking zones.
  • Enforcing litter-related offences from vehicles and individuals.
  • Managing compliance with Local Government regulations in designated council areas.
  • Regulating footpaths, parks, reserves, and outdoor dining areas to ensure adherence to council standards.
  • Maintaining a professional and courteous relationship with the community while effectively handling challenging situations.
  • Working a 5-day week Monday to Saturday on a rotating roster.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates must have:

  • A current C Class Driver’s License.
  • Prior experience in a regulatory or enforcement position.
  • Proven customer service skills with the ability to manage difficult interactions.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
