Responsibilities
As a Housekeeping Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing daily job assignments for Housekeeping Attendants
- Issuing keys, cleaning supplies, and equipment to staff
- Monitoring VIP rooms, Do Not Disturb, Sleep Out, and Double-Lock Rooms, taking appropriate action
- Attending daily meetings and receiving special instructions from management
- Receiving check-outs and preparing rooms for vacancy
- Handling special guest requests and ensuring timely fulfillment
- Inspecting cleaned areas to ensure standards are met and reporting maintenance issues
- Supervising cleaning of guest rooms, corridors, and stairwells
- Training and assisting Housekeeping Attendants, advising superiors on performance
- Assisting with inventory management and ensuring proper maintenance of housekeeping equipment
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Diploma or vocational training in hospitality
- Previous supervisory experience within a hotel Housekeeping Department
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Opera PMS and computer literacy is a plus
