Responsibilities
As a Finishing Carpenter, you will:
- Perform fine carpentry and finishing works, including doors, frames, skirting, architraves, moldings, wall panels, cabinetry, wardrobes, headboards, and furniture repairs.
- Install, repair, and adjust wooden fixtures, decorative elements, and millwork.
- Install and repair hardware such as hinges, locks, handles, and door closers.
- Match existing finishes, laminates, veneers, stains, and colors.
- Execute gypsum board works, including partitions, ceilings, bulkheads, and decorative features.
- Repair damaged gypsum walls and ceilings to seamless finish standards.
- Perform painting works, including primer, base coat, finishing coat, touch-ups, patch repairs, and color matching.
- Prepare surfaces through sanding, filling, and cleaning prior to painting.
- Ensure compliance with hotel quality standards, safety procedures, and fire-life safety requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Support renovation, refurbishment, and defect rectification projects.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in carpentry, gypsum board installation, and painting.
- Certification or formal training in carpentry or finishing works.
- Strong knowledge of tools, materials, paints, and surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to deliver high-quality finishes suitable for guest-facing areas.
- Experience in hotel, hospitality, or high-end commercial environments is an advantage.
- Physically fit to lift materials, work at heights, and operate power tools safely.
- Basic English communication skills.
