Quantity Surveyor Job In Oman

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team at Lamasat Muscat LLC. The role involves cost planning, cost control, measurement, and financial reporting for construction projects, ensuring budgets are maintained, contracts are compliant, and project objectives are achieved. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Muscat, Oman.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and project budgets
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and scope changes for effective cost control
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations, interim payments, and final accounts
  • Prepare valuation reports, cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial statements
  • Assist in contract administration, claims preparation, and negotiations
  • Coordinate with project teams for accurate measurement, valuation, and documentation
  • Review contract drawings and specifications to identify commercial risks and opportunities
  • Support tendering processes, including quantity take-offs and pricing exercises
  • Track and manage variation orders and change requests throughout the project lifecycle
  • Participate in commercial meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate records for cost reports, correspondence, and contract documents
  • Assist in preparing final project accounts and project close-out documentation
  • Ensure compliance with contract conditions, company procedures, and applicable standards

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, cost management, and measurement standards
  • Experience in cost budgeting, cost control, and cost planning
  • Experience in civil and/or building construction projects
  • Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Experience in Oman or GCC construction projects preferred
