The YMCA of Greater Toronto is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join the Kingston Road Health & Fitness team. This contract, six-month position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all members, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
- Clean all areas of the facility including cardio, strength, Cyclefit, and free weight rooms
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean lockers, countertops, mirrors, railings, windows, and upholstery
- Clean swimming pool areas, staff offices, back-of-house areas, and facility exterior
- Maintain washrooms: toilets, urinals, washbasins, vanities; replenish toiletries; dispose of garbage
- Perform laundry duties: collect and launder rags, mop heads, and dust mops
- Maintain cleaning and laundry equipment in good repair at all times
- Follow Workplace Health and Safety practices and procedures to ensure safety for all
- Provide high-quality customer service to members and participants
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience in a commercial establishment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends
- WHMIS training is an asset
