We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team, specializing in the installation, maintenance, and coordination of structured cabling and IT infrastructure. Responsibilities

Technical Installation & Maintenance:

  • Install, terminate, test, and label copper (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) and fiber optic cabling systems.
  • Execute rack and stack activities, including installation of servers, network switches, routers, and related IT equipment.
  • Perform hardware refresh, structured cabling upgrades, and patching activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
  • Conduct site surveys, create as-built documentation, and ensure compliance with cabling and electrical standards (EIA/TIA, ISO/IEC).

Coordination & Project Support:

  • Collaborate with data center operations, project managers, and service delivery teams to meet project milestones and SLAs.
  • Coordinate with financial institution clients to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
  • Manage work orders, track materials, and maintain accurate service records for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Support logistics for equipment delivery, cabling inventory, and site readiness.

Quality, Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure all work follows financial institution security protocols and change management procedures.
  • Adhere to data center access policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for auditing and regulatory reporting.
  • Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and operational discipline.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in structured cabling installation, termination, and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience in data center and residential network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber).
  • Familiarity with industry standards (EIA/TIA, ISO/IEC).
  • Ability to work under strict compliance and security guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
