Responsibilities
As a Machine Operator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Operating slitter machines, guillotines, and other paper-processing equipment
- Setting up machines correctly before operation and performing basic checks
- Maintaining cleanliness and quality assurance on all production runs
- Completing production runs to meet daily output targets
- Wrapping, stacking, and preparing finished products
- Assisting with forklift or reach truck operation if licensed
- Conducting quality checks to ensure product accuracy and presentation
- Safely lifting up to 20kg for machine loading and unloading
Requirements
- Experience operating industrial or production machinery
- Ability to follow machine operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Physically able to lift up to 20kg regularly
- Reliable communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Preferred:
- Reach truck experience and/or licence
- Previous factory or processing environment experience
- Mechanically minded with a proactive approach to learning
