Responsibilities
- Perform grounds maintenance around parks, fields, and facilities, including mowing, trimming, and weeding
- Operate light motorized vehicles and equipment
- Clean parks and recreational facilities, including floors and windows
- Maintain landscaping and flowerbeds
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment
- Assist with irrigation system maintenance and repair
- Conduct painting projects as assigned
- Perform traffic control duties when needed
- Support positive public interactions and demonstrate courteous behavior
- Assist during emergencies to restore vital city services
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in parks facilities maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied weather conditions
- Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors and climb ladders when needed
Skills
- Knowledge of basic landscaping, irrigation systems, and parks maintenance procedures
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and light motorized equipment
