Responsibilities
As a Host, your responsibilities include:
- Greeting and welcoming guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Managing waitlists and seating guests efficiently using Open Table and other tools
- Collecting, organizing, and updating menus; stocking the host stand
- Ensuring cleanliness and proper setup of dining areas
- Informing guests of menu specials and features
- Coordinating seating arrangements and removing extra place settings
- Providing excellent customer service and creating a positive first impression
Requirements & Skills
To succeed as a Host, candidates should possess:
- Knowledge of table settings, service ware, and menu items
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and in a team environment
- Problem-solving, organization, and self-motivation skills
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift items up to 15–30 lbs.
- Manual dexterity and good communication skills
- Visual acuity, hearing, and mobility for up to 8-hour shifts
