Role Description
This casual position is based in Malabar, NSW, with clients across Randwick Council and surrounding suburbs. The Personal Care Worker will:
- Assist with daily living activities and personal care tasks.
- Provide domestic support and meal preparation.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with mobility and transport for appointments and errands.
- Maintain client privacy, dignity, and safety at all times.
Consistent weekly shifts are available, and Wednesday availability is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal care (showering, grooming, dressing).
- Assistance with mobility and transfers.
- Domestic tasks including light cleaning and laundry.
- Meal preparation and support with feeding.
- Community access and transport for appointments.
- Medication reminders.
- Accurate documentation and shift notes.
- Observing and reporting changes in client condition.
About You
- Compassionate and reliable with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to assist with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities.
- Skills in meal preparation, domestic assistance, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Understanding of dignity, respect, and privacy in client care.
- Team-oriented and flexible with willingness to assist colleagues.
- Wednesday availability is essential.
- Ability to build trusting, long-term relationships with clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Cert III or higher in Aged Care, Disability Support, or Community Services.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
- Previous experience in home care or similar support role.
- Authorised to work in Australia and able to commute to the job location.
