Responsibilities
As a Barista, your key responsibilities will include:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages, drip coffee, and specialty drinks.
- Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other cafe equipment.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Recommend and upsell coffee products and cafe menu items.
- Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations and excellent customer service.
- Stay updated on coffee trends and share product knowledge with customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Barista preferred.
- Strong knowledge of coffee types, brewing methods, and cafe operations.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other cafe equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills and friendly personality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic math skills and cash handling experience.
- Food handling certification preferred.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
