This full-time, temporary role involves operating specialized mapping vehicles, following routes using navigation software, and supporting a team to collect accurate mapping data. Responsibilities
As a Driver, your key responsibilities include:
- Safely operate mapping vehicles following all traffic and highway rules
- Use navigation software and applications to follow assigned routes
- Complete daily vehicle and equipment checks, reporting issues to managers
- Protect sensitive mapping equipment, ensuring proper handling and security
- Maintain project confidentiality and required logs
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues as needed
- Communicate professionally with coordinators, managers, team members, and the public
- Work occasional evenings and weekends as required
- Follow instructions from Regional Managers and complete tasks efficiently
- Lift up to 50lbs, bend, twist, and ensure physical readiness for the role
Requirements
- Australian citizen, legal resident, or valid working visa (no student visas)
- Valid operator’s license for use in any Australian state
- Ability to follow technical instructions and operate navigation and mapping equipment
- Strong understanding of Australian road networks
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good time management, communication skills, and honesty
- Technical familiarity with maps, tablets, and phones
