Responsibilities
The Farm Supervisor will:
- Develop specific plans to prioritize farm operations
- Direct grooming and care activities for animals
- Monitor animal health and maintain performance records
- Organize tasks and supervise general farm workers and harvesting laborers
- Ensure farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed
- Formulate feeding programs and maintain production records
- Hire, train, and mentor staff
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- Perform general farm duties and maintain work logs
Requirements
- Other trades certificate or diploma
- 1–2 years of relevant farm experience
- Ability to work on-site in a physically active environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Team player with leadership abilities
- Criminal record check may be required
