Responsibilities
- Visually inspect, grade, and package fresh vegetables according to customer specifications
- Prevent product damage and maintain food safety and quality standards
- Inspect packaging and produce for contamination or foreign objects
- Communicate with supervisors regarding quality issues or shortages
- Clean and sanitize food contact surfaces and machinery
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMPs, and Health & Safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Leader or Supervisor
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No prior experience required; understanding of packhouse operations is an asset
- Knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety, and Health & Safety preferred
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
Working Conditions
- Work in refrigerated warehouse (45-55°F) with loud machinery
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
