Anglicare Sydney is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide high-quality, personalised care to clients in their own homes across Blacktown. This Permanent Part-Time role focuses on helping older adults maintain independence, dignity, and wellbeing through practical support, companionship, and emotional care.

Responsibilities

As a Home Care Worker, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Domestic Assistance: Support clients with household chores such as washing, ironing, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Meal Preparation: Assist with planning, preparing, and cooking meals
  • Personal Care Support: Help clients with showering, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene needs
  • Social Engagement: Provide companionship and encourage participation in social activities and community engagement
  • Transport Services: Drive clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social outings
  • Maintaining accurate care records and documentation

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

  • Valid NSW Driver’s Licence and reliable C Class motor vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • COVID-19 and flu vaccinations (highly recommended)
  • Basic computer and smartphone literacy

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in Home Care or Disability Support
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aging, Home, and Community)
