Responsibilities
As a Kitchen Steward, you will:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools.
- Coordinate cleaning and polishing of silverware, glassware, and chinaware.
- Support culinary teams in food prep and setup for meal services.
- Manage timely removal of garbage and waste from kitchen areas.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of kitchen and dining equipment.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to supervisors.
- Participate in setup and cleanup of kitchen and dining areas for service.
- Follow environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen steward or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation standards in food service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on feet and lifting kitchen equipment.
