Responsibilities
As a Letter Carrier – Delivery Agent, your duties will include:
- Sorting and preparing mail and parcels at the depot
- Loading and operating a Canada Post delivery vehicle
- Delivering mail and packages to homes and businesses on assigned routes
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions while completing deliveries
- Returning to the depot to organize undelivered items and incoming mail
- Ensuring timely, accurate, and safe delivery of all items
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record (3+ years)
- Ability to lift up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Availability for on-call, temporary work
- Ability to read, write, and speak English (French is an asset)
- Customer service or delivery experience is an advantage
