Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance and repair requests.
- Communicate effectively with guests to understand and resolve technical issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools, equipment, and mechanical room systems.
- Inspect tools, machines, and equipment to identify wear or malfunction.
- Handle maintenance inventory, requisition supplies, and track daily activities.
- Operate and locate shut-off valves and building utility controls.
- Perform carpentry, painting, surface preparation, drywall repair, and wood trim maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues such as clogged drains and toilet malfunctions.
- Conduct basic electrical repairs including lamp replacement and faulty switches.
- Handle minor equipment fixes for items such as vacuums, extension cords, and guestroom devices.
- Program televisions and perform inventory-related engineering tasks.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
- Maintain and repair interior, exterior, and landscaping installations including sprinklers.
- Input air handler schedules and adjust building temperature settings.
- Follow all company safety procedures, report hazards, and maintain secure storage of materials.
- Uphold professional appearance, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (required).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Some experience in general maintenance, painting, or surface preparation.
- Experience in hotel engineering or property maintenance is an advantage.
- Ability to use basic tools, perform physical tasks, and work in varied conditions.
- Good communication skills in a professional setting.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and company policies.
