We are looking for a skilled Network Technician to join our team and manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of our network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair UTP, FOC, multi-core, and LAN cabling.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and generate detailed reports and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Mount and patch active network devices, maintaining patch schedules.
- Maintain accurate network drawings, technical documentation, and patching matrices.
- Manage network component inventory and perform remote support as needed.
- Design and implement network cabling overlays for special events.
- Use network tools and testers, including fluke testers and crimpers, for diagnostics.
- Liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear communication on network operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related engineering field.
- Minimum 8 years in IT support, with 2–3 years as a dedicated Network Technician.
- Expertise in network cabling installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Proficiency in mounting/patching active devices and managing patching schedules.
- Skilled in network tools and testers.
- Strong documentation skills for technical reports, network drawings, and BOQs.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure principles and best practices.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- IT certifications such as CISA or equivalent network certifications.
- Experience in large-scale events or venue network setups.
- Ability to design network cabling layouts for temporary or event-specific installations.
- Experience managing network inventory systems.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with non-technical stakeholders.
