Sonoco is seeking a motivated Production Associate to join their manufacturing team in North Canton, Ohio. This role involves packaging, inspecting, and maintaining production processes while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspection of products and processes.
- Clean work areas and machinery.
- Package and palletize finished products.
- Operate forklifts as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and paperwork under management direction.
- Communicate relevant information to team members.
- Assist in maintaining production equipment.
- Train and guide employees as required.
- Replenish supplies and materials in assigned area.
- Relieve employees for breaks as directed.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with safety rules, FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), and food safety systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing.
- Ability to work 2nd (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) and 3rd (11:00 PM–7:30 AM) shifts.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and follow SOPs.
