Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately using the store POS system, handling cash, card, mobile, and contactless payments.
- Perform cash reconciliation during shift changes, prepare deposits, and report any variances in line with loss-prevention procedures.
- Handle returns, exchanges, refunds, and issue VAT-compliant invoices according to company and UAE regulations.
- Operate barcode scanners, payment terminals, and maintain a clean, organized, and functional checkout area.
- Assist with price verification, scanning, and quick stock replenishment around the checkout lanes.
- Provide courteous and solution-oriented assistance during peak and off-peak hours to maintain customer satisfaction and store standards.
- Escalate any POS or technical issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted store operations.
Requirements
Must-Have
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in cash handling within a retail checkout environment.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems and card payment terminals.
- Strong basic math and cash reconciliation skills.
- Understanding of UAE VAT invoicing, receipts, and compliant transaction processing.
- Customer-facing experience with a focus on speed, accuracy, and service quality.

- Arabic speaking ability to support a diverse customer base.
