Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues.
- Communicate clearly with guests to address and resolve technical concerns.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools, machines, and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Conduct visual inspections of tools and equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Carry maintenance equipment such as tools, radios, and supplies.
- Identify, locate, and properly operate shut-off valves and other utility controls.
- Maintain appropriate maintenance inventory, requesting parts and supplies when necessary.
- Record all unfinished maintenance work before shift changes.
- Follow company safety and security procedures, reporting hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Store flammable materials safely and professionally.
- Uphold company grooming, appearance, and confidentiality standards.
- Assist individuals with disabilities and ensure all guests receive exceptional service.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Communicate in a clear and professional manner with colleagues.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing stairs, and working in various positions including bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements
- Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in painting, masonry, or hotel maintenance.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific license or certification required.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and hotel maintenance procedures.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
