SSR Mining Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Security Technician II to join its Cripple Creek & Victor Mine operations. Responsibilities
- Conduct patrols and inspections of vehicles, property, and high-security areas
- Monitor refinery security systems, including alarms, access control, and CCTV
- Respond promptly to incidents and emergency situations
- Investigate incidents by gathering information, interviewing individuals, and completing accurate reports
- Write legible, factual, and concise daily reports
- Monitor deliveries and ensure proper access control
- Train on company security policies, procedures, and emergency response protocols
- Communicate with the Security Supervisor regarding operational issues
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure a safe, organized work environment
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional demeanor
- Basic to intermediate computer skills for report writing and security system use
- Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established security procedures
- Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and respond to emergency callouts
- Must pass a security background check
- Ability to work at high elevations (9,400 – 10,600 ft.) and in varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior security experience in industrial, mining, refinery, or high-security environments
- Experience conducting patrols, vehicle/property inspections, and monitoring restricted areas
- Experience with incident investigations and monitoring security systems
