Senior Housekeeper Job In Japan

Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel is seeking a dedicated Senior Housekeeper/Japanese Speaker to join their housekeeping team. This full-time, non-management role is ideal for individuals passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in a luxury hotel environment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to guest and departmental requests
  • Fill housekeeping carts with supplies and transport to assigned areas
  • Enter guest rooms following proper procedures, ensuring vacancy before entry
  • Replace guest amenities, supplies, linens, and terry
  • Make beds, fold terry, and clean bathrooms
  • Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items
  • Check appliances, straighten furniture, and dust/polish surfaces
  • Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties
  • Follow company safety, security, and operational policies
  • Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance
  • Welcome and interact with guests according to company standards
  • Support team goals and maintain quality expectations
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching as required
  • Complete other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors

Requirements

  • Ability to speak Japanese fluently
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and lift/move items safely
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional appearance and ability to maintain guest confidentiality
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • No formal education, prior work experience, or supervisory experience required
  • Training provided on-the-job to meet Sheraton standards
