Responsibilities
- Operate mobile concrete mixers (transmixers) underground safely and efficiently
- Prepare, mix, and maintain proper shotcrete mixtures according to specifications
- Assist with shotcrete pump operations and understand various mix designs
- Conduct hydro-scaling of headings prior to shotcrete application
- Maintain and clean equipment, hoses, and pumps at the beginning, during, and end of shifts
- Assist with infrastructure work such as pouring concrete pads and spraying bulkhead or vent walls
- Document work completed, including batch logs, QA/QC measurements, and areas sprayed
- Follow all PPE requirements, safety protocols, and site regulations
- Report equipment issues, failures, or hazards to the Shift Supervisor immediately
- Perform other related duties assigned by supervisors to support underground development projects
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–3 years of underground mining experience
- Experience operating mobile concrete mixers underground
- Ability to perform physical labor for setup, tear-down, and operation of shotcrete equipment
- Valid driver’s license with manual transmission experience
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, including radio etiquette
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow verbal and written instructions
- Willingness to work rotational shift camps (typically 14 days on/14 days off) in extreme conditions
